Comparison and advantages of ZigBee-WiFi :
Hardware memory requirements contrast:

ZigBee:32~64KB+;

WiFi:1MB+;   ZigBee hardware demand is low.
Battery powered power on sustainable time:

ZigBee:100~1000 days;

WiFi:1~5 days;   ZigBee power consumption is low.
Transmission distance contrast (general use, no high-power antenna launcher):

ZigBee:1~1000M;

WiFi:1~100M;   ZigBee long transmission distance.
ZigBee disadvantage:
Network bandwidth contrast: ZigBee:20~250KB/s;

WiFi:11000KB/s;   ZigBee bandwidth is low; transmission is slow.

Same point:
1. They Both are short-range wireless communication technologies;
2. all using the 2.4GHz band;
3. all using DSSS technology;
Difference:
1. the transmission speed is different.
ZigBee transmission is not high (<250Kbps), but the power consumption is very low, the use of battery power, generally can use more than 3 months;
WiFi is commonly referred to as wireless LAN, with high speed (11Mbps), large power consumption, and general external power supply;
2. different applications.
